Bridges Community Living lodges are the perfect housing option for many people, as they age and need a bit of daily support.

Our lodges in Red Deer provide meals, recreation and weekly housekeeping. The lodges are a great option for individuals who want to have an active lifestyle and enjoy socializing, without the responsibility of caring for a full suite and cooking. Our residents enjoy senior-friendly living spaces designed for comfort and safety, including an emergency call response system, in case you need someone to help.

OUR LODGE LIVING COMMUNITiES PROVIDE:

  • Programs and activities for daily physical fitness; creative, social, learning and spiritual opportunities
  • Maintenance-free living, including housekeeping (once a week), trash removal and laundry
  • 3 delicious, well-balanced meals as well as snacks available throughout the day
  • Social and educational programs for resident and families
  • Scheduled resident and family meetings

Wellness

Wellness is an important part of the Bridges Community Living philosophy. Our lodge program is designed to ensure that our residents have access to information, activities and good nutrition. We strive to ensure our residents and their families have access to appropriate supports through Home Care or other community agencies.

Recreation

The Bridges Community Living, Recreation Department offers a wide range of physical, social, cognitive and spiritual programs. These programs are offered at all 3 of our lodges by our recreation team, offering the lodge residents full advantage of the staff’s guidance and expertise.

The residents enjoy a variety of outings, including bus trips for shopping, picnics, excursions, intergenerational programs, entertainment, special events, as well as an assortment of games such as pool, shuffleboard, bingo, and cards game.

These programs and events are posted on a calendar, which is provided to residents monthly, allowing them the opportunity to schedule their time with activities of their choosing.

Note: These activities are organized for lodge residents only, and not provided as part of the self-contained apartment living option.

Why I Love Working Here

I am a red seal chef. The meal planning is done by me and is then approved by a dietician. I have been working for BCL for 18 years. I just love seniors. They are so interesting and understanding. Great people to listen to. Parkvale Lodge is a great place to work, great place to be. My favorite meal: Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and mashed potatoes.
