Hey, super excited to meet you!

My name is June and I am the mascot at Bridges (short for Bridges Community Living).

Currently, we are looking for 2 new board members to join the gang of advocating for seniors so we have not just a great place to live (aka affordable housing for people over 55) but also make sure that our voices are heard.

That’s why advocacy on municipal and provincial levels is part of our work. We also care a lot about the people who join our board. I think that is what really makes this board enjoyable. Getting to know and value each other!

Do you have a passion for seniors and believe that seniors are a strong, vibrant part of our community and want to see our housing sector grow for low to moderate-income people?

Thought so…

This is where you might come in.

  • Might have a background in real estate, social work, accounting, banking or building development and love building relationships within the community
  • Are passionate about helping seniors to have a safe and affordable place to live
  • Want to really make a difference with your volunteer work and not just sit around for a few hours a month (I’d rather go bowling if that was the case)
  • Want to connect with like-minded people in a governance role and have fun working in a team

If this excites you, then please review this package about being a board member and learn a bit more about us. To apply, please email us at board@bridgescl.ca and share who you are and what your interest in Bridges or submit your resume.

Can’t wait to have you on board!

Why I Love Living Here

I moved into the Parkvale Lodge in July of 2011 after a brief hospital stay. This is a comfortable home, with many amenities. The staff is very caring and help us celebrate every special occasion. I am so happy to be living in a place where it feels just like home.
