Advocating for Seniors
Affordable housing for seniors is in short supply in Red Deer and across the province. With our aging population, and economic challenges, more people than ever are worrying about how they will find a decent home they can afford as they age. Bridges Community Living advocates passionately to all levels of government, creating awareness of the need for more decent, affordable housing for seniors, as a basic human right.
As part of the Bridges community, you matter. We believe everyone is worthy of respect, consideration, and appreciation. Come see why at Bridges Community Living, every day is a new beginning!
Current Needs
Bridges Community Living is currently building a new, integrated housing option for Red Deer seniors. Building on the innovative housing model that Piper Creek Lodge pioneered in Alberta in 1956, the new residence will provide seniors with modern, comfortable, safe living, where residents are able to arrange for a variety of services as needed, forge strong friendships, and get involved the community.
Bridges are meant to connect going both ways. Bridges Community Living not only bridges its residents to one another and to the community; we also seek to build bridges for organizations and people in Red Deer to connect into to our housing community.

I enjoy living at Parkvale Lodge for 7 years. My family comes to visit often and we play games with the kids in the lunchroom.
